Blackman pulls out of Pyramid Rock
Posted on 27 November 2011 by Kate Kachor
Bertie Blackman has been forced to withdraw from this year’s Pyramid Rock festival.
The singer pulled out of the new year’s eve event because of recording commitments with her new album.
“I have been putting my soul into this new album furiously since the beginning of the year,” Blackman said.
“The little beast has taken us on a journey much further in/out of time than was firs thought. I want the first performance of this material to be startling, powerful and magical.
“Unfortunately, we are still in the depths of her heart and I feel it’s too early to reveal her thoughts, stories and howls.”
Blue King Brown will replace Blackman at the festival.
Other acts named for the festival are The Delta Riggs, Nick Thayer, Light Year, DJ Cecille, Westernsynthetics, Marcus Ryan and Monty Franklin.
