Snowman has begun work on a new studio album with Aussie producer Aaron Cupples.

The Perth band will record and work with Cupples in their adopted city of London.

The as yet titled album will be the band’s third studio release.

Cupples has produced records for fellow Australian artists The Drones, Paul Kelly, Dan Kelly and the Alpha Males, and Subaudible Hum.

Commenting on the band’s new tracks, Snowman frontman Joe McKee described them as: “a communication with the past. A romance with fading memories/ghosts. A conversation with something that no longer exists and the sadness and eventual “moving on” that comes with that. It is a healing process.

“It’s about tearing yourself away from the things you love in order to do just that…move on. It’s about not turning into this thing that you have created. Keeping that distance. Killing the myth.”

Snowman has spent the past two years preparing for this album, with much of it written in 10 different countries whilst living in and touring Europe.

The new album will be the follow up to 2008′s ‘The Horse, The Rat And The Swan’.
