The Art joins Leto

The Art has been named the support act for Thirty Seconds to Mars’s Australian tour.
The Sydney band, formerly known as The Follow, will join the American group next month for their Australian and New Zealand shows.
As The Follow, the band relocated to the US where they played extensively across the country before recording their debut album in Texas with producer Frenchie Smith (Jet, Trail of Dead, The Dandy Warhols).
In August 2008, The Follow announced their split just days after two of its members went missing.
The band’s bass player KJ and lead singer Azaria went missing while touring through America, though were found alive and well.
At the time, band members, Azaria, KJ and Jak decided to start again under the new name, The Art.
The Art returned to Australia late last year to support Marilyn Manson and Them Crooked Vultures.
They were on the bill for the 2010 Big Day Out and were also named support for US act, The Pixies, on their recent tour.
Thirty Seconds to Mars is the music project of former American actor, Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo Miličević.
