Tickets to Metallica’s Australian show have sold out.

All 13 shows for the US band’s Magnetic Tour sold out in just over an hour, a total of more than 215,000 tickets.

The ticket sales made the Australian leg of Metallica’s world tour the fastest selling arena tour of 2010.

Metallica will feature material drawn from their current album Death Magnetic and the band’s back catalogue.

Metallica’s upcoming tour will be the band’s first Australian shows since January 2004.
