Vampire Weekend scores tour upgrade

Demand for tickets to Vampire Weekend’s Australian tour has prompted promoters to move shows to larger venues.

The US outfit’s scheduled Melbourne show at the Palace Theatre on Wednesday 5 May has been moved to Festival Hall and is now a licensed all ages show.

The first Melbourne show at Palace Theatre remains an over18 event.

The band’s Sydney show on Thursday 13 May moves from the Enmore Theatre to the larger Hordern Pavilion and remains an all ages event.

Both the first and second shows for Melbourne and Sydney sold out in mere minutes and new tickets for these upgraded venues are sure to follow trend.

General on-sale tickets for the new venues will be available from Friday 12 March, 9am local time.

Remaining tickets to the Adelaide and Perth shows are on sale now.
