Organisers of The Lost Weekend music festival have been forced to cancel the event.
“After moving from Ivory’s Rock to the Brisbane River Stage, The Lost Weekend has had insufficient time to achieve critical mass and we have been left with no choice but to cancel the event,” a statement from festival organisers said.
“As local promoters it was our dream to run an event similar to other regional events like Meredith in Victoria and to bring such an event to south east Queensland.
“This is one of the saddest and most difficult decisions we have ever had to make.”
Full refunds are available from the point of purchase next week.
The Lost Weekend was to feature Dinosaur Jr (USA), The Brian Jonestown Massacre (USA), Little Birdy, Tumbleweed, British India, The Dirty Projectors (USA), The Drones, Nashville Pussy (USA), Butterfingers, Wooden Shjips (USA), Littlered, Whitley, Wolf And Cub, Mm9, Dan Kelly, Busdriver (USA), Jeff Lewis And The Junkyard (USA), The John Steel Singers, New Pants (China), and Regular John.
