Laura Marling

Laura Marling intends to release two studio albums this year.

The UK singer will release her second album, I Speak Because I Can, on 19 March.

Just weeks after its release, Marling plans to head back into the studio to record her third album.

She will work with producer Ethan Johns on her new record, due for release in September this year.

The singer chose Johns to produce her third album as she credits many of his earlier work (Ray LaMontagne, Kings of Leon, Emmylou Harris, Sarabeth Tucek) with kindling her interest in music, a press statement said.

Marling began her East Coast Australian tour this week.

The tour marks the second trip the singer has made to Australia since July 2008.
