More than 40 festival goers were found with illegal drugs following a police operation at Homebake over the weekend.
Police found 41 people in possession of drugs, a statement from the NSW police said.
“Officers from The Rocks Local Area Command, the Central Metropolitan Region and the Dog Unit conducted a high-visibility operation targeting illegal drugs, alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour at the event in The Domain between 11am and 11pm,” the statement said.
Drugs found included: cannabis, ecstasy and cocaine.
Two men were charged after being caught with 70 and 30 tablets of ecstasy respectively, the statement said.
“Given the size of the crowd, they were generally very well-behaved,” Detective Inspector McDonald said.
“It is disappointing however that despite the warnings, people are still intent on bringing illegal drugs to these events.
“We make no apologies for finding these people and putting them before the court.”
