Pixies
The Pixies have added new dates to their upcoming Aussie tour.
The US outfit has added a number of extra shows to the Sydney and Melbourne legs of their 2010 Australian tour.
Pixies will now perform at the Hordern Pavilion on Monday March 15, as well as on Sunday March 14.
The band has also added a third show in Melbourne, after selling out original two shows.
Pixies will perform a 3rd show at Festival Hall on Monday March 22.
The tour is o mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic 1989 album, Doolittle.
For the Doolittle Tour, Pixies will perform all of the songs from Doolittle and its related B- sides.
Pixies’ classics such as “Debaser,” “Wave of Mutilation,” “Here Comes Your Man,” “Hey,” and “Gouge Away” are all on Doolittle’s track listing.
The tour is only the second Australian visit by Pixies, and follows on from sell out European and US tours showcasing Doolittle this year.
In 2007, Pixies headlined the inaugural Australian V Festival, as well as packing out headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
