Empire Of The Sun

Empire Of The Sun has been named the headlining act for this year’s Pyramid Rock Festival.

The festival spot will be only the second live gig for the Luke Steele (Sleepy Jackson) fronted outfit this year.

Empire Of The Sun will make their live debut at this year’s Parklife Festival.

Other acts named for Pyramid Rock are The Cat Empire, Ugly Duckling (US), The Butterfly Effect, Architecture In Helsinki, and Faker.

The Beautiful Girls, LCD Soundsystem (DJ Set), Blue King Brown, The Drones, Tame Impala, Baddies (UK), Van She, The Boxer Rebellion (UK), Grafton Primary, Bluejuice, Something With Numbers, Bumblebeez have also been added to the line-up.

Kram, Dead Letter Circus, Ponytail (US), Telepathe (US), The Juan Maclean (US), Phrase, The Fumes, Astronomy Class, Skipping Girl Vinegar, We Have Band (UK), Cassette Kids, Bonjah, Mm9, Regular John have also been named for the event.

The New Year’s event will again be held on Phillip Island from Tuesday 29th December 2009 until Friday 1st January 2010.

Tickets for Pyramid Rock Festival 2009 go on sale at 9am Thursday 3rd September at www.thepyramidrockfestival.com.
