Sneak peek at Higgin’s film debut

Missy Higgins
A teaser trailer featuring Missy Higgins has been released for new Australian film, Bran Nue Dae.
The Melbourne singer features alongside a stellar cast of Aussie actors in the new Rachel Perkin’s film.
Perkins is best known for her films Radiance and musical One Night The Moon, which starred fellow Aussie musician Paul Kelly.
Set in the summer of 1967, Bran Nue Dae sees Higgins play the character of Annie alongside Geoffery Rush as Father Benedictus, Ernie Dingo as Tadpole and Dan Sultan as Lester.
Filming began in Broome later last year, with Higgins joining the set in early November.
Higgins is familiar with the Western Australian region having relocated to Broome last year to write her latest album, On A Clear Night.
Bran Nue Dae debuted at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival.
