Dandy Warhols releases ‘directors cut’ album

The Dandy Warhols
The Dandy Warhols will release their much anticipated new studio album next month.
The US outfit will release their fifth studio album, The Dandy Warhols Are Sound, on 7 August.
The Dandy Warhols Are Sound is the original Welcome To The Monkey House album, mixed by Russell Elavedo.
In 2003, the band released Welcome To The Monkey House, which was co-produced by Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes.
However, while the Dandy Warhols weren’t unhappy with Monkey House’s final result, they had originally intended to release a version mixed by Elavedo, (D’Angelo’s, The Roots, Common, Alicia Keys).
The Dandy Warhols Are Sound is in a sense, the “Director’s Cut”.
