Review: Daniel Merriweather – Love & War

Love & War
Universal
I must say I was immediately drawn to this album purely for Mark Ronson’s involvement.
Ronson has made quite a name for himself in the past few years.
The UK producer has worked his magic with chronic crack-head Amy Winehouse and the straight shooting Lily Allen.

Daniel Merriweather's new album
Known for his sassy funk and motown touch, Ronson has yet again delivered with new record, Love & War.
While the album is not the first time Ronson and Merriweather have worked together, it offers a lot more than a crisp single.
Merriweather in his own right is a delight.
While at times he may lean towards the whingey side of soul, the singer isn’t afraid to strap his heart tightly upon his sleeve.
The album also features a tight single featuring the irrepressible Adele.
For those seeking a slower take of the bright side of life this album is for you.
