Silverchair

Silverchair has begun work on new material that may feature on the band’s new album.

The Newcastle trio of Chris Joannou, Ben Gillies and Daniel Johns have spent the past three weeks working on new tracks.

“Daniel, Ben & Chris recently got together in a remote studio for a bit over 3 weeks to work on some new songs,” a statement from the band said.

“They put down a bunch of ideas & Daniel has since gone away to write and develop the songs further.”

There is no confirmation as to when Silverchair plans to release the new tracks.

Silverchair has been on an extended studio break since the release of their 2007 album, Young Modern.
