Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale

Wolfmother has revealed the name of their much-hyped second studio album.

The Aussie outfit has settled on the title, Cosmic Egg, for their new record.

Wolfmother has spent the past six weeks recording the new record with producer Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails) in a Los Angeles studio.

The first single off the new record is Back Round, which has already been released.

Comic Egg will be the first recording for Wolfmother’s front man Andrew Stockdale since the departure of his former band members Chris Ross and Myles Heskett who quit the band in August 2008.

Stockdale and the new line up of guitarist Aidan Nemeth, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres and drummer Dave Atkins will release Cosmic Egg later this year.

Meanwhile, Wolfmother has been named as a support act for Aussie rock legends AC/DC’s Black Ice tour in 2010.
