Birds of Tokyo

Birds of Tokyo took home a swag of awards at this year’s West Australian Music Industry (WAMi) awards.

The Perth band made it a clean sweep at last week’s awards night, taking home awards in all five of the categories they were nominated.

Among the awards won, Birds of Tokyo took home Most Popular Act, Most Popular Album, Most Popular Live Act and the industry voted awards for Best Rock Act and Best Male Vocalist (Ian Kenny).

The WAMi for Most Popular Music Video went to Downsyde for their single ‘Fortune and Fame’, while Best Commercial Pop Act went to The Panics.

Pendulum scored the Best Live Electronic Act.
