Wolfmother has released a new single, the band’s first release with a new line-up.

The Sydney band has released the single, Back Round, as a free download on their website (wolfmother.com).

The single is the first recording for Wolfmother’s front man Andrew Stockdale since the departure of his former band members Chris Ross and Myles Heskett who quit the band in August 2008.

Stockdale and the new line up of guitarist Aidan Nemeth, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres and drummer Dave Atkins will release a new album later this year.

The band is working with UK producer Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails) on the new album.
