Empire’s Steele turns platinum

Empire of the Sun has notched up a platinum selling album for their debut record, Walking On A Dream.
The duo of Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (Pnau) has sold more than 70,000 copies in Australia, as has their single of the same name.
The outfit’s current single, We Are The People, is sitting at number three on the ARIA club char.
The album will be released in the US and Canada on April 21.
