Violent Soho
Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore has signed Violent Soho in an international record deal.
Moore signed the Brisbane band earlier this month to his Ecstatic Peace label.
The deal will give Violent Soho the opportunity to record and tour in the US.
“This of course is pretty much our biggest dream come true, so obviously we are over the moon at the opportunity to be backed by such a man & the prospect of spending a lot of 2009 in the USA recording and touring,” the band posted on their myspace page.
“We’ll still be playing shows all across Australia this year though. Tour dates will be released in due time. We can’t wait to start playing again so look out for future dates being announced.”
The band are expected to release a new record based on the already Australian released record, We Don’t Belong Here, in late 2009.
