Andrew Stockdale’s new Wolfmother will make its way back to the live scene this weekend.

Stockdale will return to the stage under the alias of White Feather for two shows.

It is not known whether the Wolfmother name will vanish entirely or if the shows are test runs for Stockdale’s new act.

Stockdale is the only remaining original member of the Sydney outfit.

The singer’s former bandmates, Chris Ross and Myles Heskett quit the band in August last year.

The pair cited “irreconcilable personal and musical differences” as the reason behind their departure, the band’s website said.

Stockdale is expected to release a new Wolfmother album in 2009.

Whitefeather will play two shows, one in Brisbane and one in Sydney this weekend.

New Zealand rockers Die!Die!Die! will play support.
