Sarah Blasko's new do
Sarah Blasko will make her way to Sweden tomorrow to begin recording her third studio album.
The Sydney-based singer will work with Bjorn Yttling of the band Peter, Bjorn & John on the new album.
On her way to Stockholm, Sweden, Blasko stopped off in London where she caught French singer Camille’s show.
“Camille had seemingly inexhaustible energy. She he was like a dancer at certain points, performance artist at others, she sang wholeheartedly, did some body percussion and beat boxing (?) too,” she said.
“She also had a great sense of humour, although I couldn’t quite follow her all the way with songs like ‘The Money Note”.. but apart from that, it was good stuff. It was an inventive and inspiring thing to see before you head off on a plane to go and make a new album.”
Camille wasn’t the only inspiration/change Blasko takes into the studio with her. She is also sporting a new hair do for album number three.
“Here’s a photo of me at the airport. You’ll notice I have a record #3 haircut.. I think I look a bit like I’m 5 and it’s my first day of school – That was the look I was going for!” Blasko said.
For those interested, while on her plane travels, Blasko saw the following films and rated them.
‘Brideshead Revisited’ – (7.5/10),
‘How to lose friends and alienate people’ – (5/10),
‘Man on wire’ – (7.5/10)
‘Miss pettigrew lives for a day’ – (6/10)
