Empire of The Sun has scored a gold record with their debut release.

The Aussie duo has reached gold sales of 35,000 for both their Walking On A Dream album and the single of the same name.

The pair of Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (Pnau) will release their second single off their album next month.

We Are The People will be released on February 21.

The clip for the new single was filmed over a week shot in Mexico.

The clip was shot over a week in the Icamole Desert, The Gardens of Las Pozas in Xilitla, and the small town of Garcia on the outskirts of Monterrey during the Day of the Dead Festival in November.

Empire Of The Sun will release their debut album in the UK on Feb 16 and most of Europe on February 23.
