Spiderbait member Kram will release his debut solo album in the coming months.
Kram, the co-vocalist and drummer with Spiderbait will release the album, Mix Tape, on March 14.
Commenting on his new album, Kram said: “I wanted it to be like a radio station where all the songs sound like different bands even though it’s all played by one person… The premise of the whole album was to be constantly changing your approach musically”.
The album was recorded over a two year period at Melbourne studio, Sing Sing South.
Kram played all the instruments and produced the album with engineer Andy Baldwin.
Mix Tape was mixed in New York with Baldwin in his Chinatown studio.
The first single off the album will be silk Suits, which will be officially serviced to media next Monday January 12.
The video to Silk Suits features Kram playing tennis at the Rod Laver Arena with former world number eight professional tennis player, Alicia Molik.
Kram will perform live at the Medibank International Sydney on January 17.
