Children Collide release taste of new clip

Posted on 15 December 2008 by Kate Kachor

Children Collide has released a preview of the clip for their new single.

The Melbourne trio released the clip for the track, Farewell Rocketship, earlier this month.

The single has been lifted from the band’s debut long player, The Long Now.

Commenting on the new music clip, band bassplayer Heath said: “We wanted to make this clip timeless and epic. We got together with the House on Fire film crew, and citing such influences as 1920′s silent romantic pantomime film and dark 1950′s sci-fi, we got busy.

“I guess we really wanted to do something a bit risky, something unusual, and so created the clip in the form of a two part film. The first part is backed by sound art, and the second one with the actual songs. We like the results.”

Children Collide released The Long Now earlier this year through Universal.
