Missy Higgins is set to join the John Butler Trio and Ben Kweller at next year’s West Coast Blues n Roots festival.

The Melbourne singer announced she would perform at the Australian festival earlier this week.

Higgins will perform at the event alongside the likes of Paul Kelly, Kev Carmody, John Butler Trio and Kweller.

The singer has also been added to the line-up of next year’s Byron Bay Bluesfest.

The festivals will be one of the first Australian performances for Higgins since early 2008.

For much of 2008, Higgins has toured across the US in support of her latest record, On A Clear Night.

Tickets go on sale Monday December 15.
