Devastations return for one-off gig
Posted on 30 November 2008 by Kate Kachor
The Melbourne outfit will return to their hometown in February to play the East Brunswick Club.
“This will be their one and only Australian show in the foreseeable future so you’ll be a fool to miss it,” the band’s management said.
Since the release of the Devastations third album, Yes, U, in 2007, the band has relocated to Europe.
Earlier this year, the band played a number of festivals including the Primavera Festival.
They have also collaborated with Blonde Redhead for the Aaron and Bryce Dessner (The National) curated AIDs benefit compilation Dark Was the Night, which will be released in February through 4AD.
The collaboration sees Blonde Redhead’s Kazu adding vocals to the instrumental track Misericordia from Yes, U.
