Metronomy names Aussie shows
Posted on 06 November 2008 by Kate Kachor
The former UK-based producers who mixed for the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Gorillaz, Klaxons, Ladytron and Roots Manuva, will travel to Australia in January.
They will play shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
The trip will be the first chance the trio of Joseph Mount, Gabriel Stebbing and Oscar Cash will have to tour their latest album, Nights Out, to Australian audiences.
Commenting on the album, the trio said: “It was an unashamed concept album from the beginning. I keep having conversations with people who keep going on about the industry and how CDs are history, and people just listen to things on shuffle. And I’m like, ‘Oh, for fuck’s sake!’ This is totally the music industry’s fault! They’re the ones who decided to keep putting two good songs on an album!”
Nights Out is out now through Warner Music Australia.
