Sneaky Sound System is set to join Public Enemy for a New Years day event in Brisbane.

The Sydney band will join the US outfit and a number of other acts for the first ever BBQ Beats event.

Other acts for the event include: Jackson Jackson, Dj Nu Mark, Mr Scruff, Bag Raiders, Van She, True Live, Aquasky, Don Rimini, South Rakkas Crew, with more to be announced.

BBQ Beats will run in the Brisbane Riverstage and Gardens from Midday to 10pm. Tickets to the inaugural festival go on sale midday Friday 7 November.
