The Kooks will play a limited number of solo shows in Australia in early 2009.

The UK outfit will play one show in Sydney and one show in Melbourne in January.

The Kooks will be in the country for Aussie festivals Falls, Southbound and Byron Arts & Music Festival.

The festival dates as well as solo shows will give The Kooks a chance to perform material from their new album, Konk, to Australian audiences.

The Konk is the follow up to the band’s debut record, Inside In/Inside Out.
