Carter on the look out for label

The former singer with Sydney band The Cops is currently working on his new album, which is expected to be released in early 2009.
“I’m about 3/4 of the way through writing the album so i’m looking at releasing it early next year,” Carter told elevenmagazine.com.au.
“I’m recording, producing and mixing it on my own in my home studio.”
Since placing The Cops on an “indefinite hiatus” in May this year, Carter has also been without his record label.
“As far as labels go I haven’t sorted that out yet but i’m no longer with Inertia,” he said.
As well as being without a label, Carter’s new album is without a title for the moment.
Yet the lack of a title hasn’t slowed the singer’s progress, having already released six demo tracks to his myspace.com/simoncarteraustralia page.
While together, The Cops released two albums, 2004′s Stomp On Trip Wires and 2007′s Drop It In Their Laps.
