Dylan art heads down under

The exhibition, Drawn Blank, features a collection of drawings by the singer during his world tour between 1989 to 1992.
Drawn Blank – Bob Dylan’s Art showcases a collection of works that had their genesis as drawings made by Dylan during his world tour of 1989 – 1992 and later published in a book entitled Drawn Blank.
After being contacted by a German museum curator, Dylan was moved to realise his original vision for the drawings.
He created paintings from them using watercolour and gouache and these form the collection entitled The Drawn Blank Series. It was first exhibited in the Kunstsammmlungen Museum in Chemnitz, Germany in 2007 and London’s Halcyon Gallery earlier this year.
They will now exhibit at Sydney gallery, 28 Spring Street.
Meanwhile, as a musician, Dylan has released 44 albums, selling more than 110 million copies.
Drawn Blank will be held at 28 Spring Street gallery in Bondi Junction, Sydney from Wednesday 29 October.
