You Am I will release their much anticipated new album next month.

The iconic Aussie rockers will release, Dilettantes, on September 13.

Commenting on the album’s title, You Am I frontman, Tim Rogers said: “The meaning of the term has a duality- either referring to folks who dabble in appreciation of arts or culture, or those who have a deep love for works, or performers.”

The album, the band’s eighth studio album, is the follow up to their 2006 album ‘Convicts.

You Am I recorded the album in Sydney and Melbourne studios during June and July. The band’s long-time producer Greg Wales produced the album.

New album ‘Dilettantes’ in stores on September 13.
