Augie March has secured the skills of producer Joe Chiccarelli on their upcoming fourth studio album.

Chiccarelli has produced albums for Beck, The Shins, White Stripes, Zappa and U2.

The Melbourne band will begin work on the new album later this month.

They will record the follow to Moo, You Bloody Choir in New Zealand at Neil Finn’s studio, Roundhead.

Moo, You Bloody Choir went platinum in Australia and earned the band The Australian Music Prize (The AMP) in 2006.

The band spent much of 2007 touring the album in North America.

Augie March’s as-yet untitled fourth album is slated for release later this year.
