Black Keys announce tour
Posted on 02 April 2008 by Kate Kachor
The US duo will tour Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in June.
The tour is in support of their new album, Attack & Release. The album was released in Australia late last month.
Produced by Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz, The Grey Album), Attack & Release was recorded at engineer Paul Hamann’s Suma Studio outside Cleveland, Ohio.
The album was initially slated as the pair’s first collaborative work with Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) for late R&B legend Ike Turner. Though as the band began composing tracks they realized they were actually laying the groundwork for a new album of their own.
Attack & Release also marked The Black Keys first foray into recording in an actual studio.
