The Melbourne trio of Johnny Mackay, Heath Crawley and Ryan Caesar signed with Universal earlier this week.
“We’ve been holding out for what feels like a long time to find the right team of people to help us put this first album out. We’re so happy we now have a label behind us who are as excited about and focused on what we’re doing as we are,” Mackay said.
As part of the new deal, Children Collide, will work with producer Dave Sardy (Wolfmother, Jet, Oasis, Marilyn Manson and The Dandy Warhols) on their debut album.
The band will jet across to LA and record their debut album with Sardy this month in both Sardy’s own studio Hillside and Sunset Sound.
They are slanted to release their debut in October this year with the first single off the new album set for release in late May.
