Something With Numbers barrels over NY cops

Posted on 17 March 2008 by admin

Two Something With Numbers members were taken to a New York police station earlier this month.

Band front man Jake Grigg and drummer Dave McBeath found themselves in a sticky situation when they attempted to recreate a human wheelbarrow in a New York subway station.

“Gravy and I were talking about how fun it was being a kid. Then we got to the topic of the human wheel barrow – when someone holds you by your legs and you walk on your hands,” Grigg said.

“So being the tipsy two that we were, we decided for old times sake to relive our childhood and make a human wheelbarrow. So gravy lowered himself to the ground and I grabbed his legs and we made our way through a crowd of people, down a ramp and directly into a police officer! I quickly let go of Gravy’s legs and then fell over in laughter. So picture this. Gravy and I were in the middle of a New York City Subway, laying on the ground, pissing ourselves laughing, in front of a police officer.

“We got up off the ground expecting to appologize and leave but she said ‘it’s too late to apologize’. So I felt compelled to sing that Timbaland tune ‘it’s toooo laaate to apologiiiize, it’s toooo laaaate’…..”

The pair were escorted to the police station where after an hour they were released with a $60 ticket for driving a human wheelbarrow under the influence.

Something With Numbers is in the US working on their third studio album.
