Powderfinger will jet off to the UK in the coming months after securing a spot on the bill of this year’s O2 Wireless Festival.

The Brisbane band will share the stage with the likes of Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals and Counting Crows at the London festival.

Other acts announced for the four day festival include Fatboy Slim, Underworld and Bootsy Collins, The Hold Steady and Delays, with more names to come.

Meanwhile, Powderfinger will release Who Really Cares as their next single.

The single, lifted off the band’s latest record, Dream Days at the Hotel Existence, is set for release in the coming weeks.

O2 Wireless Festival will be held at London’s Hype Park on Thursday July 3 to Sunday July 6, 2008. Tickets on sale through http://o2wirelessfestival.co.uk/tickets/.
