Melbourne outfit The Vandas have begun mixing their debut record.

The as yet titled new album is slanted for release midway through this year.

“We have 16 tracks in all, of which we’ll choose the best 10 or 11 for the final album,” the band said.

The Vandas plan to road test their new material with a select run of dates next month.

The shows will be the band’s last for a while whilst singer Chris pays a visit to Canada.

The Vandas have also released a video for ‘Hello Again’ and an early demo version of ‘Leaving’ on their myspace found here.

The videos were produced by Australian artist, David Bromley.
