Matt Costa involved in US theft
Posted on 25 February 2008 by admin
The US singer, who is due to tour Australia next month, was forced to cancel a show in Madison, WI on February 21 after his van and trailer slid off the road.
Costa was apparently unharmed though his piano player, Jacob Sahagen was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The car accident is the second incident in the space of a month.
Earlier this month Costa and his band members were victims of theft when pieces of musical gear and equipment were stolen from the inside of The Garrick Centre in Winnipeg, MB.
“The items had been locked inside The Garrick Centre for overnight storage as this was reportedly safer than leaving them in our trailer on the streets of Winnipeg,” Costa posted on his myspace page.
The thieves took off with the following:
1 each – Gibson J-45 Acoustic Guitar, Natural
1 each – Gibson ES335 Electric Guitar, Seafoam Blue
1 each – Epiphone EL-OO Acoustic Guitar, Sunburst, w/ Seymour Duncan Mag Mic Pickup
1 each – Fender Custom Shop Nocaster Relic Electric Guitar, Blonde
1 each – Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Relic Electric Guitar, Lake Placid Blue
